Originally, the aim was to create a way of involving emerging artists in a gallery show and to acknowledge the role of the arts in the community. Sat Feb 22  Gel Plate Monoprinting: February 22 & 23, 2020. 10am – 4pm. Instructor: Jennifer Love. Learn how to make quick and beautiful prints on paper using a gel plate. This class is suitable for beginners and those who want to stretch their gel printing skills a little further. We will cover multiple different methods of combining colour, texture and shape, as well as layering and building a composition. Jennifer will bring examples of what can be done with your fabulous printed papers – cards, covered journals or small art work. Fair warning though – this is addictive. Students will need to bring their own gel plate, paper and a small selection of acrylic paints (a materials list will be provided).
