Wed Dec 2  Artist Exhibition: Banner Project 2020: The Cowrie Street Banner Project began in 1994 as a joint venture between the Sechelt Chamber of Commerce and the Sunshine Coast Arts Council. In approximately 2003, the priorities of the Chamber of Commerce changed, and the project is now sponsored entirely by the Sunshine Coast Arts Council. Fri Dec 4  SC Natural History Zoom Meeting – Butterflies of the Sunshine Coast: Join Tony Greenfield and Rand Rudland for a photo presentation on the 40 known species of butterflies of the Sunshine Coast. Since release of their butterfly Identification pamphlet last year there has been in increasing interest amongst both birders and non-birders, with the predictable result that we are seeing an increase in both the frequency of reports and the accuracy of identifications. This presentation will discuss the basic differences between moths and butterflies, present some basic identification tips, and explore the more common larval host plants and adult nectaring plants that are found on the Sunshine Coast.
