NSMEC Speaker Series: Aroha Miller – PhD

of Ocean Watch at Ocean Wise. Originally from New Zealand, she completed her PhD in Zoology at the University of Otago where she focused on invasive marine invertebrates.  She continued work in ecotoxicology in coastal BC seabirds and broadened her focus to include environmental health issues and knowledge translation. Aroha grew up in a small seaside community and her love for all things ocean was deeply instilled from a young age.
