Submissions of photographs are being accepted for display in the District of Sechelt’s municipal hall. Applicants from Sechelt are given priority, but artists from other Sunshine Coast localities will also be considered. Three photos will be displayed in the lobby of Municipal Hall; displays will be rotated on a quarterly basis. This group came together to share ideas, imagination and skills related to digital textile work. While encouraging each other through support and inspiration, they push the boundaries of their own practice through experimentation. For this exhibition, each artist chose a personal photograph, “Exchanged” it with the group members and twenty-five inspired artworks resulted in five distinct interpretations of each photo. This exhibit showcases these pieces as well as selected works from the ongoing photographic explorations of the artists.
