Guided Painting Class
We have an incredible guest artist on tour from the group of instructors at Island Paint Night to host a fabulous art class! They specialize in teaching paintings of beautiful West Coast scenes. This session is called "Misty Mount Baker". When you sign-up for one of our events, you will be provided with all of the equipment needed to create the art-piece of the night.

Young People’s workshop offering lessons from a senior artist on the process and technique of creating collage. Participants will explore the use of materials in different shapes, colours, and textures to create art and express themselves in new ways. Created for young people ages 8-13 to engage them with art in a day-long workshop on their pro-d day. Maximum 16 participants. $50 Members $75 Non-members

This final workshop will bring together the documentation and writing explored in the previous sessions, with an eye to putting together a complete proposal. We will focus on putting together a proposal for an exhibition, but the ideas explored can also be applied to grant and other applications. You will be asked to bring in draft statement and documentation, so that we can work with real examples from the participants. $15 members / $25 non members Maximum 20 participants.

The show is a solo exhibit of works by Sunshine Coast resident, Karen Bruce Webb. The subjects of the paintings, acrylic and multi media on canvas, are taken from her love of the coast life style she embraces daily, from the beach, to the ocean, to the farm acreage she lives on. The show runs until November 30th. There is an assortment of originals and prints for viewing.

'Pilgrimage Places in India': watercolours by Hiroshi Shimazaki. Pilgrimage is a global phenomenon over time and space but perhaps India is the country where the tradition is most deeply rooted and widely practiced. Based on field sketches by a geographer/artist recorded during 16 visits spanning half a century, this watercolour exhibition offers an outsider’s impression of pilgrimage places in India.
