Swing Dancing – cancelled this week

February 14 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm | Davis Bay Hall, Sechelt

Everyone will be going to the Gibsons Legion swing dance! Usually the 2nd and 4th Friday. next one is on Feb 28. East Coast Swing Dancing is energetic and gleefull. The first half hour is dedicated to instruction of the 'steps' then there is social dancing until 9:30 pm to practice or just dance as you wish.

Antique and Collectables Roadshow

The SCMA's annual Fundraiser.  A team of professional appraisers from Vancouver and the Sunshine Coast will be available to appraise all heirlooms, works of art, jewelry, and modern or historical memorabilia. If you can carry it to the Roadshow, you can get an appraisal. The only limitation is that the experts will not work from photographs and cannot appraise firearms. The fee is $15 for one item, $20 for two, $25 for three and a $30 flat fee per collection.

Perhaps this is why the work is so compelling – their politics, humour and subjects are rarely found in contemporary art today.
