April Tools Wooden Boat Challenge 2020 – CANCELLED

April 25 @ 10:00 am - 4:30 pm | Seafarer’s Millennium Park, Madeira Park

19th Annual - Teams of 4 build a boat and race it around set course. "Twist" announced at 10 am. Building from 11am to 2pm. Then a break while high school teams race with adult races following. Free boat building for children and lots of good refreshments. Prizes: 1st $700; 2nd: $400; 3rd: $250. Entry forms available at apriltools.ca. Entry fee $180 - Save $20 if received by April 1 - $160

PR – Savary Island Fun Triathlon

We invite families and friends of all fitness levels to challenge themselves to achieve their personal bests. Participants can enter as Teams or Individuals, and choose between the Recreational and Competitive divisions. The course takes participants across the full length of this beautiful island, through the ocean, along the sandy roads, and even through a forest trail. Registration will be available online through the Running Room in the summer.

Aug 8-9. The sunshine coast is a short (and scenic!) ferry ride from Vancouver. Our first day’s ride will begin from Halfmoon Bay, only 45 minutes north of the Langdale ferry terminal;utilizing a combination of existing trail systems, deactivated forestry roads and single track trail, our route will take us (35 km-elevation gain of 700m) to Porpoise Bay.
