Watercolour artist Roberta Mauel draws inspiration from the beauty and geography of the BC landscape as well as the cultural landscapes of her travels. Her work is impressionistic in style and infused with light and colour.
Roberta has painted in watercolours throughout her life, where possible, painting ‘en plein air’. Her work covers a wide range of subject matter and reflects a deep connection to the landscape of British Columbia. Primarily a self-taught artist, Roberta has participated in various art groups and instructional classes. She has also travelled extensively and lived for many years in other countries, always with paints in hand and in the pursuit of capturing the essence of her surroundings. Roberta is an active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists.
