Micro-batch bean to bar chocolate studio. All chocolate is roasted and refined on-site. Vegan and traditional cream-butter caramels. Small batch custard and vegan ice creams made with organic and seasonal ingredients.
Chocolate is an exotic food that has a long journey from bean to bar. Cocoa beans are the seeds from the cacao pods (fruit) of the tree called theobroma cacao. Cacao trees are native to Mesoamerica and can be grown in areas about 20 degrees north or south of the equator. After cacao seeds are harvested, they are fermented and dried. They are then roasted and refined to make smooth, delicious chocolate. The terroir, fermentation and roasting are key elements in developing unique flavours in the chocolate.
