Conni Smudge hosts “Dinner and Giggles” at the Shinglemill with DJ Minerva.

Look out over the lake “who gave the drag queen a mike”… a good time for all with prizes for best Pride and Drag…

Youth and all ages welcome, 2 pieces of ID required.

Limited seating, this is a dinner event with entertainment.

Come enjoy the fun with killer view of Powell Lake.

PR – qathet Pride & Tidal pride Outdoor Screening: Priscilla Queen of the Desert in Lund

As we celebrate Pride with guest star host The Unstoppable Conni Smudge, an outdoor screening of the drag classic “Priscilla Queen of the Desert” seems like a perfect fit, weather permitting of course… join us on the Tidal Art Centre front lawn, gather at 8pm, screening begins at 9pm with two local LGBTQ2AI+ artist shorts. Conni claims to know all the words, it’s a favourite of hers, and maybe a favourite of yours too, so join us for the movie and sing along. Thank you to Tidal for hosting and being the heart of art in Lund. Be sure to bring a blanket and basket of snacks.

PR – She’s a Drag, Cocktail Hour with Conni at The Old Courthouse Inn in Townsite

The Unstoppable Conni Smudge is in residence, here for 4 days we’re working her hard, this cocktail hour is hosted by The Old Courthouse Inn in Powell River’s historic Townsite. Join Conni and friends for cocktails, Caesars, Cosmos and Nibbles from 4pm to 6pm on the Patio. Space is limited, and this is your chance to get up close and personal with Conni before we take off to Lund in the evening for an outdoor screening of Priscilla Queen of the Desert at Tidal Art Centre, naturally Conni knows all the words and plans sing along. Must be 19+ with 2 pieces ID to attend.

PR – Pride YRC “Explore Your Drag” Free Youth Event

A workshop for youth aged 13 to 19, offered by Powell River Child Youth and Family Services at the Youth Resource Centre “Pride YRC” welcomes LGBTQ2+ and queer youth along with friends and allies to explore your drag. Both girl and boy drag, featuring Conni Smudge, 25 year veteran drag queen who’ll lead the conversation in partnership with youth fascinators on a journey to discover your authentic self through drag, with ice-breakers, improv, drag persona, make-tips, lunch and a finale on the red carpet.
