Opportunity: Waldorf Ballet Nutcracker Auditions 2021

Pre-registration to audition required, open to March 14th. The Nutcracker will return to the Raven’s Cry Theatre December 9-12, 2021!
All local dancers are welcome to audition (ages 7yrs+ by December)

Expect new and exciting roles along with familiar traditional characters, beautiful new costumes and set designs. This classic ballet production will continue to delight and inspire!

Auditions will take place at Waldorf Ballet on May 1-2, 2021! All current Covid protocols will be followed.

This practice inspires curiosity, playfulness, connection and authenticity in a safe, non-judgmental way. No steps, no previous dance experience necessary.

Intertwined – Live Intuitive Dance Performance

Thursday October 29 5:00 pm and 5:30 pm
with Adrian de Leeuw as he intuitively explores and responds to The Journey Begins Where It Ends in the GPAG main gallery! Adrian de Leeuw is a Vancouver based multimedia artist working with dance-for-film, photography, choreography and dance.
Accepting walk-ins as space will allow, but please call us ahead of time if you would like a guaranteed spot. Space is limited to ten people per performance.

FALLING UPWARD – Joshua Beamish World Dance Premiere

International choreographer/performer Joshua Beamish premieres new solos and duets created in collaboration with Kirsten Wicklund (Ballet BC) and Annabelle Lopes Ochoa (Jacob’s Pillow). Joshua will partner with dancer Renee Sigouin (Crystal Pite’s Kidd Pivot) for this rare performance on the Ravens Cry stage. Falling Upward will also feature a special performance choreographed by Joshua for two local dance artists Natalie Martin and Francesca Manson. Two live shows: Saturday October 17@8pm and Sunday October 18@2PM. Limited tickets available for purchase through festival web site.
