5Rhythms is a conscious dance practice. A moving meditation. A spiritual path. A joyful connection with others. An exercise in authentic movement and creative expression. A chance to embody your thoughts, feelings and emotions. With a backdrop of diverse world beats, 5Rhythms® is an invitation to show up exactly how you are, and to move from wherever you’re at. This practice inspires curiosity, playfulness, connection and authenticity in a safe, non-judgmental way. No steps, no previous dance experience necessary.

Sunshine Coast Mountain Bike Trail Challenge

Aug 8-9. The sunshine coast is a short (and scenic!) ferry ride from Vancouver. Our first day’s ride will begin from Halfmoon Bay, only 45 minutes north of the Langdale ferry terminal;utilizing a combination of existing trail systems, deactivated forestry roads and single track trail, our route will take us (35 km-elevation gain of 700m) to Porpoise Bay. There will be festivities and overnight stay at Porpoise Bay Park (camping facilities only). Sunday, the ride will continue south out of Porpoise Bay (45 km -elevation gain is 1300 m) across Mt. Elphinstone, to Langdale and a finish-line celebration.

This is a way we can stay active and have fun. We’ll pull 2 cards/day from a deck of Fit in a Flash Body Weight Exercise Cards — we’ll show you variations of the exercises so you’ll be able to find the one that works for you — if you feel like playing along, tape yourself doing the exercises (or a few repetitions), post the video in the comments below the post of the day you are doing, your name will be entered to win a deck of Fit in a Flash Body Weight Exercise Cards. We’ll draw for a new deck every couple of weeks until we’re out of isolation and can get back in the gym!
