Salsa ¡Fiesta! at Tapworks

Grab your partner for a sensual evening of salsa, bachata, merengue and more at Gibson’s best view taproom, Tapworks, this Tuesday, August 29th. Your intro to salsa lesson begins at 7 PM and Latin beats by DJ ITAL’NA will be pumping from 7:45 until closing. Our friends will be showing up at 6 PM to enjoy Tapworks’ signature brew and delicious food fare! Please come join us! Tickets are by donation online or cash at the door. Salsa at Persephone

Grab your partner for a sensual evening of salsa, bachata, merengue and more at Gibson’s quintessential beer farm, Persephone Brewing, this Tuesday, September 5th. Dance lesson begins at 6PM and music will be played from 6:45. Doors open at 5 pm and close at 8 pm. Come early to enjoy Persephone’s signature brew and delicious food fare! Funky Swing Foodbank Fundraiser

Join us for Sun Coast Swing’s Funky Swing Foodbank Fundraiser every Thursday this August at Sechelt’s Seaside Centre! Get acquainted with the smooth and silky dance patterns of west coast swing blues at your beginner dance lessons on August 10th, 17th, and 24th from 6:00-7:30 pm so you can enjoy your dance party on Thursday, August 31st from 6:00-9:00 pm. Registration is required in advance and 100% of your proceeds will go to Sunshine Coast Community Services Society food bank. CASH ONLY at the door.

Wine & Cheese Salsa Party

Join us for the premier salsa event of the summer! Lose yourself to Cuban Latin rhythms as we dance into the sunset at Sechelt’s Seaside Centre.
Your beginner salsa lesson at 6 PM will get you moving to DJ ITAL’NA’s salsa, bachata, and reggaeton beats until 10 PM. Wine and cheese by Plethora Fine Foods is included with your purchase of ticket.

Banditry Cider: Yoga by the Pond

Join Natalie Ramsay on Sunday, June 11th for slow flow plus a music led savasna at Banditry Cider! Natalie will take you through a warming practice on the grass at Banditry Cider, surrounded by apple orchards, trees and ducks. Tickets are $25 and include a cider following your practice.

Body Sounding: Workshop with Sally Allison Williams

Move to the core of the matter with vital mind-body reeducation. We begin with the feet, hips (psoas and pelvic floor) and protection for the knees, then go closer in with movement, sound, breath and vocal exercises. Based on Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais, and Emilie Conrad’s Continuum techniques, these foundational exercises will strengthen your mobility, voice, and inner calm, whether for stage, dance, singing, cross-training, pickleball or everyday life. Sally is a well-known actor and director on the Sunshine Coast, with many years of movement and vocal experience and education.
