“Slow Travelling” in South America: Slideshow Presentation with Nick Smith

Nick Smith and his family spent six months travelling through Colombia, Peru and Bolivia. Join us for this slideshow sharing six months of “slow travelling” adventure!

Nick Smith is a public school teacher, presenter, photographer, writer and world explorer who embraces the concept of “slow travel.” As a photographer, he focuses on capturing images that he hasn’t seen elsewhere, from small towns and seldom-visited neighbourhoods, to renowned locales such as old town Cartagena, Machu Picchu and the Bolivian Salt Flats.

Opportunity – Community Photo Display

Submissions of photographs are being accepted for display in the District of Sechelt’s municipal hall. Applicants from Sechelt are given priority, but artists from other Sunshine Coast localities will also be considered. Three photos will be displayed in the lobby of Municipal Hall; displays will be rotated on a quarterly basis. The acrylic frames accommodate images 24”h x 36”w. Due to the large size of the display frames, the original photo should be a minimum of 3000 x 4500 pixels (13.5MP). Go to web (below) for more info. Applications and info to ssmith@sechelt.ca or 604.740.8476
