Voices, The Play

Memories from the roaring 1920’s and the Met Opera come alive in this special multi-media LIVE theatre event.
VOICES is the latest drama by west-coast writer and director Louise Phillips about an exceptional Canadian woman. Opera star Jeanne Gordon was a small-town girl from Ontario who rose to international fame with the Met Opera 1919-1929. When her voice is silenced by mental illness, she finds renewed hope to be heard despite her enforced isolation. This tragic but true story stars Richard Austin, Gordon Austin Dodge, Wanda Nowicki, Steve Schwabl, Rachel Ruecker and Delaney Gilmour.

Off The Page reads ‘The Long Call’ by Jenn Griffin

We read this play for a live audience at the Heritage Playhouse two years ago. Fast forward to now….. we liked it so much we’re going to read it again for a virtual audience from Presentation House. It’s the only play we’ve read featuring a dancer. Same play (slightly revised), mostly new cast, live stream rather than live – completely altered experience! Featuring Robert Moloney, Liza D’Aguilar, Lara Barclay, Janet Hodgkinson and Wanda Nowicki.
