Digital painting on iPad through Eldercollege

Participants will:
Be introduced to the creation of digital art on iPads and mobile devices
-Learn the basic features of commonly used digital art programs/applications
-View the main steps, tools and effects used to create digital art
-Be encouraged to create sampler pages of all the exciting brushes and tools available
-Watch a step-by-step digital art creation process with live demo
Paula O’Brien has been exploring digital painting and drawing since 2010 informed by her long experience as an oil painter.

Shrink Your Carbon Footprint: A free webinar

Offered up by the 2 Degree Institute, this free and timely webinar will measure your carbon footprint and will provide tips to reduce it. Presentation by Norman Gleadow, resident of Robert’s Creek who along with his wife Julie, reduced their carbon dioxide footprint by 7 metric tonnes per year by making lifestyle changes. Dr. Chris Jones, UC Berkeley will conduct an interactive presentation using the Berkeley carbon calculator and walk us through how to calculate our own carbon footprints. Bring your questions for the 30 min Q & A moderated by Lee-Ann Ennis.
